But it's a serious issue! Below we will list the 4 signs that you need to look for to see if you should consider getting a new water heater. Then we'll talk about a water damage job we had from a homeowner whose water heater went caput. 

4 Signs that you should consider getting a new water heater

1. Your water heater is 10 years old or older.
2. Rusty water is coming from your water heater.
3. You hear rumbling noises from your water heater.
4. There is moisture gathering on the outside or around your water heater.

Since this was a case where the water heater closet had absorbed most of the water, it did not get much further than two rooms from the source.
